ISLAMABAD: Pakistani boxing sensation Muhammad Waseem complained about the delay in receiving his passport ahead of his visit to the United Kingdom (UK) for a training camp before a world title fight.
Taking on X, Muhammad Waseem, nicknamed ‘Falcon’, urged Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz to help get his passport back on time as he is supposed to join a training camp in the UK ahead of the world title.
“I have a fight coming up with my passport stuck, need help from the Government of Pakistan,” he wrote.
In a talk with ABN News, Quetta-born three-time WBC flyweight world silver champion Boxer said that his passport has been stuck in the Denmark Embassy for a month, adding that he applied for a Schengen visa on July 22.

“My next fight is coming up in Malta and for that, my training camp was in the United Kingdom, but without my passport, I failed to join it,” he said, adding that he has now left with only five weeks for his fight.
While lamenting the government’s negligence, the flyweight boxer stated that he is facing multiple problems including training facilities for playing world title and no one from the government has contacted me in this regard. He requested CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz to take notice of the matter.
“I’m going to the UK to participate in the training camp to fight for the world title. The training I am doing in Pakistan is not enough for me,” Boxer Muhammad Waseem said.
