Brazilian footballer Kathleen Souza lives in Saudi Arabia and represents the women’s football team as captain of the Saudi football club Al-Nasr.
The Brazilian footballer recently converted to Islam and has now performed Umrah.
In this regard, Al-Nasr Football Club made a formal announcement on the micro-blogging website X, saying that Kathleen Souza has converted to Islam and performed Umrah with her friends.
In the video released by the football club, the footballer can be seen getting emotional, while social media users are congratulating Kathleen Souza and expressing their best wishes.
Kathellen is a center back who captains Al-Nassr in the Saudi Women’s Premier League and plays for the Brazil national team. Born and raised in Baixada Santista, she began playing futsal and eventually looked for opportunities in the U.S. college system with Monroe College, Louisville Cardinals, and UCF Knights.
She began her professional career with FC Girondins de Bordeaux, then played for Inter Milan and Real Madrid before signing with Al-Nassr in 2024.
She debuted for the Brazil senior team in 2018 and became a regular starter at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, impressing in the Round of 16 match against France as the youngest Brazilian on the pitch.
