England announce Playing XI for first Test against Pakistan

MULTAN: England have confirmed their playing XI for the first Test against Pakistan in Multan, starting on Monday (October 7).

Durham fast bowler Brydon Carse will make his Test debut. With England captain Ben Stokes still recovering from a hamstring injury, Ollie Pope will lead the side in his absence.

Somerset spinner Jack Leach returns to the Test set-up for the first time since the tour of India in January, while Kent opening batsman Zac Crowley has rejoined the squad after fully recovering from a broken finger suffered during the summer. of

The two teams are scheduled to play a three-match Test series in Multan and Rawalpindi from October 7 to 28. The first test match will be played from 7th to 11th October at Multan Cricket Stadium while the second test match will be played from 15th to 19th October at the same venue. The third Test match will start from October 24 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
