COLOMBO: Pakistan has set 200 runs target against Namibia in the crucial match of the ICC T20 World Cup thanks to Sahibzada Farhan’s brilliant century.
He scored his century off 57 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 10 fours. Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub opened the innings for Pakistan, but Saim Ayub was dismissed for 14 runs on 40 runs.
National team captain Salman Ali Agha also lost his wicket after scoring 38 runs off 23 balls, while Khawaja Nafi scored 5 runs.
On the other hand, Sahibzada Farhan scored his first century in the T20 World Cup while batting brilliantly. He scored his century off 57 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 10 fours.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat against Namibia in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.
Pakistan has made two key changes for the match: Salman Mirza and Khawaja Nafat are in the batting line-up, while Shaheen Shah Afridi and Abrar Ahmed will remain out.
Today’s match is a crucial match in the group stage between Pakistan and Namibia, which will decide who will reach the Super 8 stage.
If Pakistan wins this match, it will secure a place in the Super 8. Even if the match is canceled due to rain, the national team will reach the next stage with 1 point. However, if Namibia wins, Pakistan will have to exit the first round of an ICC event for the third time in a row.
