MUMBAI: Former India Under-19 cricketer and medium fast bowler from Punjab, Amanpreet Singh, has passed away at the age of 36.
According to Indian media, the cause of the cricketer’s death is not yet known. Amanpreet Singh was Virat Kohli’s Under-19 teammate who played six first-class matches for Punjab and took 11 wickets.
He was also part of Kings XI Punjab in the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League and later served as a member of Punjab’s senior selection committee.
Apart from this, Amanpreet Singh played five youth ODIs and one youth Test for India in 2007.

Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh also expressed grief over the cricketer’s death and tweeted his condolences for him on X.
Apart from this, the Punjab Cricket Association has also expressed deep sorrow over the death of Amanpreet.
