DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the Team of the Tournament for the T20 World Cup 2026, which includes outstanding players from different countries.
Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan is also included in the team. He scored two centuries while batting brilliantly in the event and showed outstanding performance by scoring more than 300 runs in total.
His runs of 383 were a new record for the highest runs by a batsman in one edition of the T20 World Cup. He was also a record-maker as he was the first player to score two centuries in one edition of the T20 World Cup.
Further, the team of the tournament comprises four players from India, two players from England and South Africa, one player from Zimbabwe, and one player from the West Indies.
The team of the T20 World Cup does not comprise any player from the runner-up, New Zealand.
The team has been entrusted with the leadership of South African all-rounder Aiden Markram, while his compatriot fast bowler Langi Ngidi is also part of the squad.
