DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has banned the bowling of the United States women’s cricket team’s all-rounder Isani Vaghela. The all-rounder has been banned for an illegal bowling action.
The ICC’s decision was made following a complaint by match officials during the match against Ireland in the Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier.
The ICC’s event panel reviewed Isani Vaghela’s bowling action in the next match against Papua New Guinea and concluded that her action was illegal.
She will be banned until she corrects her bowling action and retests.
The 20-year-old medium pacer made her T20 debut in 2021 and her ODI debut in 2024.
