DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its latest player rankings for Test and ODI formats, bringing notable gains for several Pakistani cricketers, particularly in the bowling and batting charts.

In the ODI bowlers’ rankings, Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed has made a significant leap, moving up to second place from fourth position. The young spinner’s rise places him among the top-performing ODI bowlers globally.

Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan continues to hold the number one position in the ODI bowling rankings, maintaining his dominance at the top.

Pakistan ODI captain Shaheen Shah Afridi has also improved his position, moving up four places to enter the top 10, now ranked 13th in the ODI bowlers’ list.

In the ODI batting rankings, Pakistan’s Babar Azam has retained his sixth position, continuing his consistent presence among the world’s leading white-ball batters.

In Test cricket, England’s Harry Brook has claimed the number one spot in the batting rankings, while former England captain Joe Root has slipped two places to third position.

For Pakistan in Tests, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have both improved their standings. Rizwan has moved up to 19th place, while Babar Azam now stands at 20th in the Test batting rankings.

The latest rankings reflect ongoing shifts in international cricket performances across formats as teams continue their competitive schedules.
