DUBAI: The possible date of the T20 World Cup 2026 match between Pakistan and India has been revealed.
Despite the controversy in the Asia Cup 2025, arch-rivals Pakistan and India have been placed in the same group in the T20 World Cup 2026.
The arch-rivals are likely to face each other in Colombo on February 15.
According to media reports, 20 teams have been divided into four different groups of five in the T20 World Cup 2026.
Group One:
Pakistan, India, USA, Namibia, Netherlands
Group Two:
Bangladesh, Italy, England, Nepal, West Indies
Group Three:
Australia, Ireland, Oman, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe
Group Four:
Afghanistan, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, UAE
According to reports, the top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Eight stage, from which the top four teams will play the semi-finals.
According to media reports, the matches in India will be held in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, and Ahmedabad, the matches in Sri Lanka will be played in Colombo and Kandy, while Pakistan will play its matches in Sri Lanka.
The Indian city of Ahmedabad has been selected for the final, but if Pakistan reaches the final, the final will be held in Colombo.
Mumbai and Kolkata have been selected for the semi-finals; the venues will depend on the semi-finalist teams, and if Pakistan reaches the semi-finals, the semi-finals will be played in Sri Lanka.
