Karachi Kings clinch thrilling win over Multan Sultans in high-scoring PSL clash

KARACHI: In the third match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Karachi Kings defeated Multan Sultans after an exciting match.

The third match of PSL Season 10 was played at the National Stadium in Karachi. Karachi Kings won the toss and decided to field against Multan Sultans.

Batting first, Multan Sultans scored 234 runs in the allotted overs. In pursuit of which, Karachi Kings could not play steadily. David Warnes scored 12 runs for the Kings while Tim Seifert was out after scoring 32 runs. Shan Masood returned to the pavilion on the first ball without scoring any runs.

Arafat Minhas also could not stay on the pitch for long and returned to the pavilion after scoring 10 runs.

James Vince and Khushdil Shah supported the team in difficult times. And they had an excellent partnership. James Vince scored a century in 42 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 14 fours. However, James Vince was run out after scoring one more run.

As soon as James Vince was out, Khushdil Shah also returned to the pavilion in the next over. He scored 60 runs off 38 balls. He was bowled by Akif Javed.

Irfan Khan was not out with 5 and Abbas Afridi with 9 runs. Abbas Afridi hit a six in the last over to give Karachi Kings victory.

Earlier, Multan Sultans captain Muhammad Rizwan played a brilliant innings and scored a century with the help of 5 sixes and 9 fours. While he was not out after scoring 105 runs. Muhammad Rizwan scored the first century of PSL 10.

Opener Shai Hope, who came into the field with Muhammad Rizwan, was caught by Hasan Ali after scoring 8 runs. Usman Khan and Kamran Ghulam returned to the pavilion after scoring 19 and 36 runs.

Michael Bracewell remained not out after scoring 44 runs.

For Karachi Kings, Hassan Ali, Khushdil Shah and Irfan Khan took one wicket each.

After winning the toss, Karachi Kings captain David Warner said that there is a little grass on the pitch. And this is the first time in Karachi that we have seen so much grass on the pitch.

Multan Sultans captain Muhammad Rizwan said that they will try to play a good game today. And for every six in the match, they will donate one lakh rupees to the children of Palestine.
