LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars have released cricketer Abdullah Shafiq and added Bangladeshi player Shamim Hussain to their squad.
According to sources, Abdullah Shafiq will join the national squad in Trinidad today. Abdullah Shafiq will leave for Trinidad from Providence.
Abdullah Shafiq played his last match against Guyana Warriors in the Global Super League yesterday. Abdullah Shafiq will be available for selection in the second Test match against the West Indies.
The second Test match of the series is scheduled for August 2 at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain.
It should be noted that Lahore Qalandars are in second place in the Global Super League 2026. Lahore Qalandars’ next match is scheduled for July 29 against San Francisco Unicorns.
