RAWALPINDI: Australian captain Mitchell Marsh’s participation in the ODI series against Pakistan is doubtful, making Josh Ingles a strong candidate to captain the visiting team.
The first ODI between Pakistan and Australia is scheduled for May 30 in Rawalpindi.
According to Australian media, Mitchell Marsh suffered an ankle injury during the IPL and was fatigued due to the long league, due to which his participation in the ODI series against Pakistan is doubtful.
Now, Josh Ingles is likely to lead the ODI series in place of Mitchell Marsh because Pat Cummins and Travis Head are busy in the IPL and are not part of the ODI squad.
In Mitchell Marsh’s unavailability, there is a possibility of Olipak’s international debut.
The first ODI of the three-match ODI series is scheduled for May 30 in Rawalpindi, while the matches will be held in Lahore on June 2 and 4.
