Noman Ali first Pakistani spinner to claim Test hat-trick

PCB announces final squad for South Africa series
MULTAN: Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Noman Ali has fetched his name in history books by becoming the first Pakistan spinner to claim a hat-trick in Test cricket.

With his magic spell, Noman dismissed the West Indies batters — Justin Greaves, Tevin Imlach, and Kevin Sinclair — in the 11th over of the first day of the second Test at Multan Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

He made a place among the elite group of bowlers, who claimed a hat trick in Test cricket. Left-arm pacer Wasim Akram was the first Pakistani to achieve this milestone, followed by Mohammad Sami, and Naseem Shah.

The 38-year-old also took a five-wicket haul in the first inning completely baffling West Indies batters.

Other bowlers including Sajid Khan (41-2), debutant pacer Kashif Ali (11-1), and mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed with one wicket have been instrumental so far in the match as visitors are 100-9 as of 30.4 overs.
