DUBAI: National T20 cricket team captain Salman Ali Agha has said that our ultimate goal is to win the Asia Cup title.
Salman Ali Agha, while holding a press conference in Dubai before the Asia Cup final, said that it does not matter what people outside say; we have come here to play good cricket.
Agha said that the playing eleven for the final will be decided by looking at the pitch and conditions, whether to feed fast bowlers or spinners, the decision will be made according to the situation.
He said that the players have freedom on the ground, but no insult to anyone or any action against the country’s dignity will be tolerated.
On the question regarding the handshake, the captain clarified that he has been playing professional cricket since 2007, and to date, he has never seen teams not shaking hands.
In the past, relations between Pakistan and India have been tense, but such an example has never come up in cricket.
As a batter, it is everyone’s responsibility to play good cricket.
Agha said that maybe we have saved our best game for the final, and everyone will see tomorrow.
He added that if we play according to our game plan for 40 overs, Pakistan can defeat any team. God willing, you will see Pakistan winning tomorrow.
On the question about the toss, he said that so far the toss has not proved decisive in any match, and the situation will be the same tomorrow too.
Regarding Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha said that he can represent Pakistan for the next 10 years, and hopefully, he will play a role in the final.
