RAWALPINDI: The three-match T20 series between Pakistan and South Africa is set to begin today in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The Pakistan team has introduced a special pink jersey to support the breast cancer awareness campaign during the match.
Apart from the national players, the South African team, umpires, staff, and commentators will participate in this campaign by wearing pink ribbons.
The stamps used in the match will also have pink branding, while awareness messages will be displayed around the field in this regard.
Star batter Babar Azam is likely to come back in the team after a long break.
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled a special pink-themed kit for the Pakistan cricket team ahead of the first T20I match against South Africa, scheduled for October 28 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The cricketing board said that national players will wear pink kits to raise awareness about breast cancer as part of the PINKtober initiative.
“Turning pink for a cause that matters,” the PCB captioned a post on X sharing photos of players wearing pink kit.
The PCB, in a separate post, announced that visitors can avail free clinical examination and screening on October 28 at the stadium in partnership with the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Trust Hospital, Lahore.
