Pakistan decides to play T20 match against India as per schedule

ISLAMABAD: In a shocking move, Pakistan has announced that it will play the T20 World Cup match against India as per schedule.

According to the schedule, the match will be played on February 15, 2026. Sources say that the Pakistan and Indian teams will play the T20 World Cup match as scheduled.

According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to play the match against India at the request of the Sri Lankan President.

In a telephonic conversation between Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara, the Sri Lankan President requested the Prime Minister to play a match with India.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the Sri Lankan President requested that the Pakistani cricket team should play the Pakistan-India match held in Sri Lanka.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the Sri Lankan President’s sentiments. The Prime Minister said that Sri Lanka also provided full support in difficult times in Pakistan and continued cricket in Pakistan.

The Prime Minister said that recently, the Sri Lankan team took an unforgettable step by not canceling its tour of Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif asked the Sri Lankan President to inform the final decision after consultation on the Pakistan-India match.

The Sri Lankan President said that Pakistan fully supported Sri Lankan cricket during the terrorism in Sri Lanka, Pakistan prioritized its long-standing relations with Sri Lanka above everything else, and the Pakistani cricket team continued to tour Sri Lanka to play cricket despite terrorism.
