ISLAMABAD: Two players who played in the group match of the Pakistan team that lost to India by 7 wickets in the Asia Cup 6 days ago at the Dubai International Stadium will not be part of the Pakistan team today.

Pakistan’s team management has selected 12 players for the first match of the Super Four stage against India, however, Khushdil Shah, who was included in the team in place of Faheem Ashraf in the match against the UAE, is unlikely to be included in the final team.

According to sources, aggressive middle-order batsman Hassan Nawaz and left-arm spinner Sufyan Muqeem will not be part of Pakistan’s playing eleven.

Coach Mike Hesson and captain Salman Ali Agha have devised a strategy to control the Indian batting this time with fast bowling as opposed to spin bowling.

According to reports, the eleven players of Pakistan against India will be as follows.

The national team will consist of Saim Ayub, Sahibzada Farhan, Fakhar Zaman, Faheem Ashraf, Salman Ali Agha, Muhammad Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Muhammad Haris (wicketkeeper), Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Abrar Ahmed.
