PSL 10 exhibition match

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the exhibition match before Pakistan Super League (PSL X) will be played in Peshawar, paving the way for return of international cricket to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s capital.

As per details, the exhibition match will be played on April 8, 2025, at Peshawar’s newly-constructed Imran Khan Stadium, previously known as Arbab Niaz Stadium.

According to the PCB press release, the teams of the match will be confirmed in due course.

The announcement came as the PCB announced the schedule of PSL 10, which will begin from April 11.

As per the press release, the defending champions Islamabad United will take on two-time champions Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium after a decorated opening ceremony of marquee tournament.

The upcoming six-team tournament will see 34 matches from April 11 to May 18, with Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium set to host 13 matches, including two Eliminators and the final.

According to the schedule, Pindi Cricket Stadium will host 11 matches, including Qualifier 1 on May 13, while National Bank Stadium in Karachi will host five matches with the first match between Karachi Kings and the runners up of the last edition, Multan Sultans, on April 12.

Multan Cricket Stadium will host the first match on April 22 between the home team Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars.

“The marquee event will also feature three double-headers, with two matches on weekends (Saturday) and one on a national holiday (Labour Day).”

“The newly constructed Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will welcome the tenth edition of the HBL PSL on April 24 with home side Qalandars, winners of the seventh and eighth editions taking on Peshawar Zalmi,” the press release added.

Peshawar Zalmi will play their five matches at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, while Quetta Gladiators will play five matches at the Gaddafi Stadium. Peshawar and Quetta will be the only two teams in the tournament who will lack the home ground advantage.
