PSL 11 to begin on March 26 without spectators amid security concerns

Mohsin Naqvi makes second visit to Tehran in 24 hours

Lahore: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi has said that PSL 11 will start from March 26 as per its schedule, but fans will not be invited.

While holding a press conference in Lahore, Chairman PCB said that consultations were underway regarding the holding of PSL and it has been decided that the league will start from March 26 as per the schedule.

Mohsin Naqvi said that PSL is an international brand which also includes foreign players, hence it was not possible to postpone the event as there is no window available ahead.

He said that it has been decided to hold PSL matches in only two cities Karachi and Lahore and a new schedule will be given in this regard in which the movement of teams will be minimal.

Chairman PCB said that the opening ceremony has been canceled, the expenses will not be high, while the gate money to the franchises will be paid by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Mohsin Naqvi further said that in the current situation, it has been decided to hold the matches without fans, fans will be able to get their ticket money back, he apologizes to the fans.
