KARACHI: Pakistan’s star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has shared the first adorable glimpse of his newborn son, Aliyar, on Instagram, melting the hearts of his fans.

The heartwarming image shows baby Aliyar resting in Shaheen’s arms, with the proud father gazing lovingly at his child. Although the full face of Aliyar is not visible, the side profile glimpse was enough to spark widespread joy and congratulations.

Shaheen’s simple yet endearing caption, “At peace” accompanied by a red heart emoji, resonated deeply with his followers. The photo showcases Shaheen dressed in a black shirt, while Aliyar sports a charming floral outfit and white beanie.

Shaheen and his wife, Ansha Afridi, welcomed their first child in August, marking a new chapter in their lives. Ansha’s father, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, has also embarked on a new journey as a grandfather.

The couple tied the knot in February 2023, with intimate ceremonies in Karachi and Islamabad.

Currently, Shaheen is among four players rested by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the second and third Test matches against England, alongside Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, and Sarfaraz Ahmed, prioritizing national cricket interests.
