Under-19 Asia Cup: India defeat Pakistan by 90 runs

DUBAI: India U-19 has defeated Pakistan by 90 runs in the Under-19 Asia Cup.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to field against India in the Under-19 Asia Cup tournament held in Dubai.

The toss was delayed due to rain and the match was reduced to 49 overs per innings.

Batting first, India scored 240 runs, in response to which Pakistan was bowled out for 150 runs.

Aaron George played a brilliant innings of 85 runs for India Under-19; besides him, Ayush Mahatre scored 38 runs, while Kanishk Chauhan scored a valuable 46 runs. India was all out for 240 runs in 46.1 overs.

Among Pakistan’s bowlers, Mohammad Siam and Abdul Subhan took three wickets each, while Naqab Shafiq took 2 wickets.

Pakistan’s team was bowled out for 150 runs in pursuit of a target of 241 runs. Huzaifa Ahsan resisted with 70 runs for Pakistan, but no other player could stay at the crease for long.

For India, Deepesh Devendran bowled brilliantly and took 3 wickets, while Kanishk Chauhan and Kishan Singh took two wickets each.

India’s Deepesh Devendran was declared the best player of the match, who gave away only 16 runs for 3 wickets.
