The World Snooker Championship India scheduled for November this year is facing uncertainty because of visa problems. Pakistani players may not get visas, which has raised serious concerns about the event.

The International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) has warned that the hosting rights could be withdrawn if Pakistani players are not allowed to participate.

According to Pakistan Billiard & Snooker Association chairman Abdul Qadir, the tournament may be shifted to another country if visas are denied. He said a similar situation happened in 2024, when Pakistani players missed a major event due to visa delays.

This championship is one of the most important snooker competitions. Top players from Asia and other regions take part every year.

Recently, Pakistan’s Muhammad Asif and Irfan performed well and reached the pre-quarter finals of the Asian Snooker Championship, bringing pride to the country.

Officials said the final decision about participation will be made according to government instructions once visas are issued. If the issue continues, it could affect the reputation of India and raise questions about politics in sports, including the future of the World Snooker Championship India.
