BEIJING: A new artificial intelligence (AI) model developed by Chinese company ByteDance has caused a stir in the entertainment world this week. The model is in the news not only for its amazing capabilities, but also for its potential impact on creative industries.

The model, called ‘Seedance 2.0’, developed by technology giant ByteDance, has the ability to produce cinematic-quality videos, including sound effects and dialogue, based on just a few written instructions.

Several videos created by Sedance, including popular characters such as Spider-Man and Deadpool, quickly went viral on social media.

Following the development, major film companies such as The Walt Disney Company and Paramount Pictures immediately accused ByteDance of copyright infringement.

However, experts say that concerns about this technology are not limited to legal issues, but its impact could also be profound on the future of creative industries.
