ISLAMABAD: A few days ago, OpenAI introduced the group chat feature in its artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot ChatGPT in limited countries.
Now this feature has been rolled out to all ChatGPT users worldwide.
This feature will be available to users worldwide in the next few days.
Up to 20 people can be added to a group chat in ChatGPT and messages between them will not be considered part of ChatGPT’s rate limit.
ChatGPT 5.1 Auto will be used for group chats.
OpenAI will also add some new things regarding the chatbot’s response.
For example, ChatGPT will be explained how to behave in group chats and whether to remain silent or respond in the flow of the conversation.
The best thing is that no user can be made a part of a ChatGPT group chat without his consent.
People added to a group chat will be sent an invitation and will not be able to be part of the group chat until they accept it.
People in group chats must be at least 18 years old.
This is the first feature of its kind from the company, which aims to help office teams, friends, and family work together.
The addition of direct messaging will completely change the experience of using ChatGPT and users will be able to use not only AI but also the platform to connect or collaborate with other people.
Each person in the group will have their own profile, username, and profile photo so that it is easy for others to know who sent the message, while they can also react to messages with emojis.
All of ChatGPT’s main tools, including web search, image generation, uploads, file sharing, and more, will be available within group chats.
