Historic change in Facebook monetization policy: Earning dollars just got easier

Facebook down in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Facebook, the world’s largest social media platform, has introduced historic and important changes in its monetization policy, greatly relaxing the rules.

This change has come as big and welcome news for Facebook content creators and digital marketers in Pakistan.

After this new update, it now seems much easier and possible for ordinary users with fewer followers and emerging new creators to earn dollars from Facebook than before.

Requirement of 300,000 views in 28 days

According to the latest information, Facebook has relaxed the strict monetization criteria for certain pages and profiles. Under the new monetization system, if any user manages to get 300,000 (300,000) views on their Facebook page within just 28 days, then Facebook will give them regular access to the ‘Content Monetization Tool’.

As soon as this amazing and new feature is activated, creators can start earning dollars directly through their videos, short reels (Reels) and other informative content.

What were the old conditions for monetization?

It should be noted that earlier, there were very strict conditions for monetization and earnings on Facebook, according to which it was considered mandatory to have at least 10 thousand followers on the page, complete a heavy watch time of 600,000 minutes and upload a certain number of videos.

This was the reason why reaching this goal was a very difficult step for new and small creators and most of the young people would get discouraged and quit.

Digital media experts say that this new facility will create great employment and income opportunities for Pakistan’s emerging talent, however, it will still be necessary to follow Facebook’s basic rules and regulations and copyright terms.

According to the company’s official report, this revolutionary change has not yet been made available to all accounts or pages at once, but currently only some specific and eligible users are taking advantage of this facility on an experimental basis, which will be made public soon.
