ISLAMABAD: Internet services are currently experiencing a disruption in Pakistan owing to a problem at one of the upstream internet services, as reported by an official statement by Nayatel. The problem affects a major chunk of internet traffic in the country.
In a posting made from the official page of the company, Nayatel explained: “Currently, the performance of the internet in the entire country has decreased due to an outage of one of the two upstream suppliers we have.”
This resulted in a large percentage of internet users in Pakistan being impacted. Nayatel said that their technical teams are closely monitoring the situation and are actively working with the upstream company to get the services resumed as soon as possible.
However, the company has not yet given any timeframe in which the problem will be completely resolved, nor when the normal internet services will resume.
