ISLAMABAD: Pakistanis sponsoring individuals abroad for Pakistani visas can now get their biometric verification done for free from home through NADRA’s Pak Identity Mobile App.
If you are looking to sponsor a foreign national for a Pakistani visa, NADRA has introduced a great facility in this regard.
For this purpose, biometric verification of your CNIC is mandatory, which you can now complete at home without any fee through the “Visa Sponsor Biometric Verification” feature of NADRA’s Pak ID Mobile App.
Under the new facility introduced by NADRA, biometric verification of the sponsor for a visa application submitted in the Pakistan Online Visa System can be done through a mobile phone, for which there is no need to visit any office or pay additional fees.
According to NADRA, after the visa application is submitted, the sponsor will receive an email with the application details, after which he will be able to log in to the Pak Identity Mobile App and complete the biometric verification process.
Users using the app for the first time will have to create an account, which requires email, fingerprints, and face verification. After the account is activated, the user will be able to biometrically verify himself or his close blood relative by selecting the relevant option through NADRA Services.
NADRA says that upon completion of the verification process, the user will receive a message of “Verification Successful”, after which the status of the visa application will be automatically updated, and further processing of the application will be initiated.
According to officials, this new facility aims to make the visa sponsorship process more secure, faster, and easier so that citizens can complete biometric verification from their mobile phones without any office action.
