ISLAMBAD: OnePlus Europe Chief Marketing Officer, Celina Shi, has shared key details about the OnePlus 15, including its global launch, color variants, and significant camera and AI upgrades, positioning it as a “two-generation leap” over the OnePlus 13.

The OnePlus 15 will be one of the last major flagship releases of 2025, but also the first in a new generation of Android smartphones coming in 2026. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the device is positioned to compete with the iPhone 17 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S26 in the global premium market.

Celina Shi described the upcoming device as a “two-generation upgrade” that is a significant step up in both performance and user experience over its predecessor.

OxygenOS 16 with Advanced AI Features

Earlier this year, OnePlus introduced a new AI-driven strategy across its ecosystem. A major part of this transformation is the evolution of the Alert Slider into the new AI-powered “Plus Key”, allowing instant access to essential tools like screenshots, flashlight, camera, and Do Not Disturb mode.

Supporting this innovation is OxygenOS 16, which debuts on the OnePlus 15. Built around the philosophy of “Intelligently Yours,” it promises smoother multitasking, faster performance, and a more personalized experience through advanced AI integration.

OnePlus has also partnered with Google to integrate its Mind Space feature with Google Gemini, enabling real-time intelligent assistance that combines user data with Gemini’s large language model and live internet access. This makes the OnePlus 15 the first smartphone with a truly personalized Gemini-based AI.

A Breakthrough in Camera Technology

The OnePlus 15 will debut the brand’s self-developed imaging engine, known as the OnePlus DetailMaxEngine. This new system combines multi-frame processing and AI-powered enhancement to capture clearer, more lifelike photos.

Its ultra-clear 26MP mode merges data from several 12MP frames with one 50MP high-resolution shot, resulting in rich detail across textures like fur, foliage, and fabric—without bloating file size.

For fast-moving subjects, the Clear Burst mode delivers 10fps continuous shooting, up from 6fps on the OnePlus 13, using dual-exposure anti-blur technology to freeze motion while maintaining detail.

In low-light settings, the Clear Night Engine uses Dual Analog Gain technology to synchronize exposures, producing brighter, cleaner night shots with reduced noise and enhanced natural tones.

Seek Look & Fresh Color Options

The OnePlus 15 also introduces a refreshed design that moves away from the brand’s circular camera module to a boxier aesthetic with a symmetrical square layout. According to Shi, this change “signals the start of a new era” for OnePlus and aligns with its two-generational upgrade philosophy.

The phone will be available in three distinctive color finishes:

  • Infinite Black – A frosted glass back offering a sleek, fingerprint-resistant matte finish aimed at professionals who prefer minimalist elegance.

  • Sand Storm – A lightweight fiberglass composite back with a micro-arc oxidized metal frame, 1.3x harder than titanium, designed for users who value subtle sophistication.

  • Ultra Violet – A dual-layer optical coating that shifts hues between violet and sapphire, catering to creative users who want a bold, standout device.

In the words of Celina Shi, the OnePlus 15 represents more than an incremental upgrade—it’s a symbol of design evolution and intelligent innovation. From its AI-powered interface to its reengineered imaging system, the smartphone aims to redefine what a flagship Android device can deliver.

While OnePlus has yet to confirm an exact release date, the company’s plans suggest a global rollout by the end of 2025, setting the stage for a fierce showdown with next-gen iPhones and Galaxy devices.
