Pakistan set to launch first satellite PAKSAT-MM11, Details inside

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has achieved a major milestone with the successful launch of its first-ever satellite, PAKSAT-MM1, which is now operational.

This breakthrough was announced at the PAKSAT-MM1 Satellite Application Conference in Islamabad, attended by the Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and other officials.

The IT minister expressed her excitement about the satellite’s operationalization, stating that it will revolutionize Pakistan’s communication infrastructure, benefiting all sectors of society.

In addition, PAKSAT-MM1 will expand internet connectivity to remote areas, bridging the digital divide.

SUPARCO Chairman Muhammad Yousuf Khan praised the team behind the satellite’s successful launch, emphasizing Pakistan’s significant step towards realizing its digital ambitions.

Moreover, he highlighted PAKSAT-MM1’s potential to serve unserved areas through applications like DTH (Direct-to-Home) services, Community internet, Tele-education, Tele-medicine, Assets tracking

With a lifespan of 15 years, PAKSAT-MM1 offers high-speed broadband, VSAT connectivity, and essential services, showcasing Pakistan’s technological advancements and commitment to a Digital Pakistan.

This achievement demonstrates the country’s progress in the space technology sector and its dedication to providing connectivity to all citizens.
