NEW YORK: The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max smartphone has finally lost its top spot after four weeks.
The device has been replaced by the newly launched Redmi K90 Pro Max from Xiaomi itself.
According to the list, the Xiaomi Redmi K90 Pro Max 5G (New Entry) is first, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is second, and the Samsung Galaxy A56 is in third position.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is at fourth, the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max is at fifth, the Oppo Find X9 Pro is at sixth, and the Vivo iQOO 15 5G (New Entry) is at seventh position.
The Vivo X300 Pro is at eighth position, the Honor Magic 8 Pro is at ninth, and the Realme GT8 Pro 5G (New Entry) is at tenth position.
Earlier, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had indicated that Apple is reducing orders for iPhone Air, in line with other analysts who have pointed out that there has been a slowdown in demand due to iPhone Air being significantly less popular than other iPhone 17 models.
Apple is slashing both shipments and production capacity for the iPhone Air, according to Kuo. Suppliers will have to cut most of their capacity by over 80% by the first quarter of 2026.
Besides, selected components with longer lead times will be phased out altogether by the end of 2025.
This action indicates that the iPhone Air, just like the iPhone mini and iPhone Plus previously, has not found a firm position in the market.
Kuo mentions that Apple’s Pro and base models already provide most of what high-end customers are looking for, with little room for new categories such as the Air.
While the drop in production may appear to be a failure of the iPhone Air, it does not necessarily indicate the end of the line.
