The WhatsApp Scheduled Messages feature is being developed to let users send messages automatically at a selected time. This new option will help users plan messages in advance without sending them manually.
According to reports, WhatsApp is testing this feature in its latest iOS beta version 26.7.10.72. The beta update was released through Apple TestFlight programme.
The WhatsApp Scheduled Messages feature will allow users to write a message and choose a specific date and time. The app will then send the message automatically when the selected time arrives.
Users will not need to open WhatsApp again to send it. This makes communication easier and more organised.
The WhatsApp Scheduled Messages feature will store pending messages in a special section inside the chat info screen.
From there, users can:
View scheduled messages
Edit or delete messages
Manage message timing easily
If a scheduled message is deleted, the receiver will not be notified. This is because the message is removed before delivery.
The WhatsApp Scheduled Messages feature is expected to work in both private and group chats.
This will help users send:
Birthday wishes
Meeting reminders
Work updates
Important announcements
This feature will be useful for both personal and professional communication.
Currently, message scheduling is available only to businesses through paid tools. However, the WhatsApp Scheduled Messages feature will be free for all users.
This will give everyone access to an important and helpful option.
The WhatsApp Scheduled Messages feature is still under development. It is expected to be released to beta testers first. After testing, it will be rolled out to all users worldwide.
