WhatsApp to discontinue support for these android mobile phones from Jan 2025

ISLAMABAD: The messaging platform, owned by Meta, will stop working on several Android mobile phones with the WhatsApp operating system that are no longer eligible for updates.

According to a report published by the technology website, such mobile phones will not be able to use the messaging app from January 1, 2025.

The decision is part of the platform’s ongoing efforts to update and adapt to the latest technological developments in order to improve the user experience.

Older smartphones with older operating systems will no longer be able to benefit from new updates.
