ISLAMABAD: On Thursday, the Pakistani Election Commission (ECP) denied a petition to remove Fawad Hassan Fawad from his position as acting federal minister.
Regarding Advocate Syed Azizuddin Kakakhel’s petition, the ECP declared that its decision is reserved.

The petitioner argued that the minister could affect the results of the general elections in 2024 because of his political affiliation.
The ECP questioned how he can influence the February 8 elections as Fawad Hassan Fawad is a minister for privatisation.
