Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz approves development plan for 12 districts

Punjab CM Maryam announces Rs5000 Eidi Scheme

LAHORE: In a recent development, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif led a six-hour meeting to evaluate the Punjab development program and noted that it was for the first time a chief minister has approved the annual development plan for twelve districts.

The directorates of anti-encroachment, urban beauty, and infrastructure improvements throughout Punjab were reviewed at the meeting. Under the supervision of the chief minister, the meeting was attended by all the Commissioners and deputy commissioners from the districts to ensure a thorough review of all projects currently being implemented.

Encroachment Removal & Beautification:

Strong action against encroachments, resorts to cleanliness. After the encroachment was taken away, CCTV moved into the government land taken back. Urban forests, sports area, and other projects will take place on this land.

Infrastructure Upgrades:

Model rickshaw stops will be constructed in every city. Roads, markets, bazaars were extended throughout Punjab. Solar street lights and lighting with a uniform scheme will be done on the inside & outside of every overhead bridge.

Public Transport & Markets Improvements:

Grain, fruit, and vegetable markets will be moved out from city centers. Electric vehicle services in Faisalabad being expanded. The historic Ghanta Ghar Faisalabad and other important markets will be beautified.

 Punjab Restoration of Historical places

Rawalpindis Raja Bazaar and historical buildings will be restored. Sahiwals Saddar Bazaar and Pakpattan Bazaar, will meanwhile be uplifted. Sialkot Fort & Iqbal Manzil will be restored.
