Lahore: With the imminent start of the holy month of Ramadan, the Punjab Education Department is making arrangements to adjust school timings to accommodate religious practices during this significant period.

Traditionally, both government and private schools in the region modify their schedules during Ramadan. Last year, classes typically began at 7:30 am and ended at 12 pm from Monday to Thursday, with Friday classes concluding at 11:30 am. Double-shift schools also followed adjusted timings with morning classes starting at 7:15 am and 12:30 pm, concluding at 12:15 pm and 4:30 pm, respectively.

Recent updates indicate changes in school timings in Punjab following the end of the severe cold wave. Until April, regular classes for boys’ schools in Lahore and other cities are scheduled from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, while girls’ schools will operate from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm. On Fridays, boys’ schools will have classes from 8:30 am to 12:15 pm, and girls’ schools from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
