Islamabad weather: Gusty winds, heavy rains expected in capital city

ISLAMABAD: The residents of the federal capital have been experiencing harsh sunny weather with humidity for the last few days, with warm breeze blowing in the night.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a Seasonal low lies over northeast Balochistan. Monsoon currents are penetrating the upper and central parts of the country. A westerly wave is also prevailing over the upper parts of the Country.
Rain-wind/thundershower is expected in Northeast/southern Punjab, Potohar region, Islamabad, Northeastern Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Isolated heavy falls are likely in southern Punjab and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the forecast period. Hot and very humid weather is likely to prevail in the southern parts of the country.
