ISLAMABAD: The citizens of the federal capital are set to experience slightly cold weather during the night due to last night’s heavy rainfall.
Temperatures are set to drop within the next few days as the Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) has predicted a new rain spell entering Islamabad.
The maximum temperature recorded today ranges up to 21 degrees Celsius, whereas the minimum temperature expected in the evening will range up to 11 degrees Celsius.
The humidity level in the federal capital ranges between 70to 80% with light wind blowing in the northwest direction at the speed of 08 km/h. Whereas, the chance of precipitation is up to 10% today.
According to the Met Office, the weather is likely to remain cold and dry in most parts of the country. However, light rain and light snowfall are expected in the mountains likely at a few places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
Punjab is also set to witness scattered thundershowers at various places including the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad from February 19 to 21, 2025.
