KARACHI: Rainfall data for different areas of Karachi on Thursday has been released, with the highest rainfall recorded in Surjani Town at 26.3 mm.
North Karachi received 20 mm, Gulshan-e-Maymar 17.6 mm, Bahria Town Phase 5 14.2 mm, and Saadi Town 10 mm.
According to the Meteorological Department, Nazimabad (Paposh Nagar) received 6.5 mm and Korangi 4 mm of rain, in addition to 3 mm of rain at PAF Masroor Base and 2 mm of rain at Faisal Base.
One mm of rain was recorded in DHA Phase 2, 2 mm at Jinnah Terminal, and 1.2 mm of rain was recorded around University Road.
Earlier, Rain accompanied by strong winds began in various areas of Karachi. Heavy rain is falling in the Musharraf Colony area of Karachi, accompanied by strong winds, while reports of rain are also being received in other parts of the city.
Heavy rain is falling in Ahsanabad, including Surjani Town, Malir, Nagan Chowrangi, Buffer Zone, and adjoining areas.
In addition, light rain has started in Saddar and its surroundings, and rain has also started in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Dalmia and Scheme 33.
Meanwhile, drizzle is being recorded in PECHS and its surroundings.
It should be noted that the Meteorological Department had predicted dusty, strong winds and thundershowers in various areas of Sindh, including Karachi today.
