LAHORE: The country is in the grip of hot and dry weather with Lahore on Monday becoming the second most polluted city in the world.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reports that Lahore’s air quality index (AQI) was 181 in the morning.
Meanwhile, an alert has been released by the Pakistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) indicating that the Punjab is expected to experience a heatwave from May 23 through May 27.
