ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department (Met Office) has predicted a new series of rains across Pakistan, indicating a possible increase in rainfall intensity in the upper areas from July 8 to 14.
According to the Flood Forecast Division, the water level in the rivers is under control, as there is no major risk of flooding as of now.
Rain Expected in Next 24 Hours: Met Office
As per the Met Office, there is a possibility of thundershowers in different parts of Islamabad, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the next 24 hours.
Rain and strong winds have also been predicted in different districts of Punjab and Balochistan.
Rains are likely to continue in different parts of the country for the next 48 hours, while a new series of rains is expected in the upper riverine areas from July 8 to 14.
According to the forecast, heavy rains may occur at some places in upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan from July 11 to 13.
The Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of an increase in the flow of water in local rivers due to heavy rains, in view of which the relevant agencies have been directed to remain alert.
