ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued an important forecast regarding a new series of rains in different parts of the country.
According to the PMD, light and heavy rains are expected in the upper areas of Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the next 24 hours, while drizzle is also expected at a few places in Karachi.
Lahore has received Intermittent rain since last night, resulting in a drop of temprature.
The maximum temperature in the city is likely to remain up to 27 degrees Celsius, while cool winds will blow at a speed of 11 kilometers per hour.
The humidity in the air is expected to reach 88 percent, due to which the weather will feel more pleasant.
Intermittent rain has also been predicted to continue in the federal capital Islamabad throughout the day today.
The continuous rains for the past four days have completely changed the weather of the city, and there has been a significant decrease in the temperature.
The temperature was recorded at 23 degrees Celsius in the morning, while the maximum temperature is likely to go up to 30 degrees.
Winds are expected to blow at a speed of about 14 kilometers per hour in the city, and the humidity ratio in the air is expected to be more than 61 percent.
PMD says that there is a possibility of thundershowers in the upper areas of Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, due to which the flow of water in local rivers may increase; the relevant agencies have been instructed to remain alert.
