Severe cold wave predicted across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted severe cold in various cities of the country.

The weather will remain cold and dry in Islamabad and its surroundings today, in addition, it will also remain cold in various cities of Punjab including Murree and Galiat.

The Meteorological Department says that fog and smog are expected in Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Jhelum, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Kot Addu and Bahawalpur.

The Meteorological Department said that severe cold is likely in the northern districts of Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir in the morning and night, while the weather will remain extremely cold and dry in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In addition, fog has been forecast at a few places in Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Dera Ismail Khan and its surroundings.
