ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms in different parts of the country.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in most parts of the country today, however, rain has been predicted in different areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Meteorological Department says that thunderstorms are expected in the districts of Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan and Malakand of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Similarly, rain is also likely in different areas of Bajaur, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Mansehra and Abbottabad.
Thunderstorms have been predicted in a few places in Swat, Chitral and Dir, while rain with strong winds is expected in some areas of Charsadda, Mardan and other plain districts.
According to the meteorological report, thundershowers are expected in some places of Haripur, Waziristan and Kurram, which may make the weather pleasant at the local level.
On the other hand, the weather is expected to remain hot and dry in the federal capital Islamabad, while the heat intensity is likely to continue in other plains of the country.
