Weather update: Rain and snowfall with strong winds & thunderstorms predicted

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted more rain and snowfall with strong winds and thunderstorms.

According to the Meteorological Department, snowfall is likely in Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Galiyat, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Poonch and Haveli.

There is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in Islamabad, rain is expected in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, Sialkot.

Thunderstorms have been predicted at a few places in Gujranwala and Narowal, rain is expected in Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, Hunza, Skardu and Murree.

Traffic flow may be affected due to road closures and slippage, landslides are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The weather will remain cold in most districts of Balochistan, while the weather is likely to remain cold and dry in most districts of Sindh.

Rain continues in different parts of the country, snowfall in Murree has increased the intensity of cold in the twin cities.
