When will it rain in Pakistan? PMD issues forecast

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with thundershowers in different parts of the country from today.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in the upper areas from today to March 11. Thunderstorms are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.

The Meteorological Department has also predicted rain and thunderstorms in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

Rain has also been forecasted in Islamabad, the Pothohar region, Murree, and Galiat from today. On the other hand, the weather is expected to remain dry, and the temperature is expected to increase in the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the PDMA, heavy rains are likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, and Buner until March 12. Officials have warned that due to the dry weather, there is a risk of water reserves decreasing and wheat crops being damaged in the rainy areas.
