LAHORE: In view of the current border security situation, Punjab Police has intensified operations against illegally residing foreign residents across the province.
According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, 32,588 illegal residents, including Afghans, have been deported from across Punjab including Lahore so far.
According to the spokesperson, 90 illegal residents are currently at various holding points, who will also be deported after the completion of legal proceedings.

According to the statistics, those deported include 12,273 men, 6,661 women and 13,654 children.
According to further details, those sent back include 10,419 residence proof holders, 11,98 Afghan citizen card holders, while 11,071 illegally residing foreigners.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Karim has directed security to be on high alert across the province and said that the evacuation of all illegal residents should be ensured at all costs.
