TEHRAN: A passenger bus overturned on a highway in Iran, killing 13 people and injuring 13.
According to foreign media, a bus full of passengers was traveling from Isfahan to the northeastern city of Mashhad on a highway in central Iran when it hit the main guard rail of the highway and overturned into the opposite lane. During this time, the bus also hit a taxi.
Media reports have said that 11 people on the bus were killed as a result of the accident, while two passengers in the taxi also lost their lives.
In addition, 13 people, including women, were injured in the accident and are being provided with medical assistance. Authorities have launched an investigation into the accident.
