MUMBAI: Abhijeet Deepke, the founder of ‘Cockroach Janata Party’, faced intense public anger during a protest in the Indian city of Jaipur.

Abhijeet Deepke, the founder and head of India’s emerging political organization “Cockroach Janata Party”, was surrounded by a few angry people from all sides during a protest rally in Jaipur, slapped and tried to knock him down, after which a scuffle broke out between the parties.

According to media reports, 30-year-old Abhijeet Deepke was participating in a protest rally in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, yesterday, where he was carried on his shoulders by supporters.

Meanwhile, two unidentified persons entered the crowd and suddenly started slapping him. In the videos, it can be seen that Deepke was hit several times on the face and shoulders, after which his supporters immediately took him away from there.

In a video statement released after the incident, Abhijeet Deepke said that this action is an attempt to intimidate him and his party, but he will not back down from his stance.

He said that these low-level tactics are an attempt to scare, intimidate and divert attention from the real issue, but we will continue to raise our voice for our rights.

It should be remembered that the Cockroach Janata Party has become increasingly popular among the youth of India in recent months. The party describes itself as a representative of the lazy, unemployed and always right-minded. The party’s growing popularity is being linked to the problems faced by the youth that India’s large population is facing.

The organization has gained over 22.5 million followers on Instagram since its launch in May 2026, while the main point of its campaign is to protest against the repeated leaks of exam papers and alleged irregularities in the results.

The party has also demanded the resignation of Federal Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the organization’s position is that the educational and professional future of millions of students is being threatened due to flaws in the examination system.

On the other hand, the Indian government has blocked the organization’s X (formerly Twitter) account, against which the party has approached a Delhi court. The organization is currently in touch with its supporters through an alternative account.

According to political observers, this incident during the protest could further strengthen the ongoing debate in India on youth politics, educational reforms and freedom of expression.
