Dubai Police warn public against fake visa scams

UAE 5-year visa fee for Pakistani's: Check complete details

DUBAI: Dubai Police has issued a warning to the public to be wary of fake work visa schemes and visa fraud.

According to the police, fraudsters are trying to extort money from people by deceiving them with employment in various ways.

The Anti-Fraud Center of the Criminal Investigation Department of Dubai Police has said in a statement that citizens and foreigners are being targeted through fake visa offers, so extreme caution is necessary to deal with such offers.

The police have warned that beware of those who make false claims of fake visa sponsorship and guaranteed visas, as currently a large number of fraudsters are deceiving unemployed people by luring them with jobs, whose offers have nothing to do with reality.

Dubai Police has clarified that employment in Dubai can only be obtained through official sources and legally licensed recruitment agencies, while visa or job offers through illegal channels often turn out to be fraud.

Authorities have advised the public to contact the police immediately if they fall victim to a fraudulent visa scheme and report the incident.

In addition, if anyone comes across a suspicious visa offer online, they should also report it to protect others from being scammed.

Dubai Police added that it is extremely important to verify any visa offer with the relevant government agencies before making a payment to avoid any potential fraud.
