Imad Alarnab left Syria as a refugee six years ago, now he own a successful London restaurant

LONDON: In Damascus, Chef Imad Alarnab says he ran three popular restaurants, alongside several juice bars and cafes. During the Syrian civil war, his businesses were destroyed, and he was forced to leave his home country.
As a UK refugee, he feared his ultimate dream to open a restaurant in central London was out of reach with the high cost of rent. Against all odds, Imad’s Syrian Kitchen opened its doors in May 2021. His best dishes are his mouthwatering falafel to delicious Kabab Hindi, a lamb and tomato-based dish.
“I do believe in karma,” he says. “It’s always been that way, when I do something good, honestly, I know for sure that there is something good will wait for me.”
